I am in my sophomore days when I met, BJ (BYPC's director) - a newly hired history teacher that time. Actually, that's not the first time I had met him. It was I think when I am still in grade school and he is still in college (UP, Theatre Arts) when he conducted a mini-seminar at our school for those who would've wanted to know more about theatre and all. So fast forward to the day when he asked me to join his mini play which will be showcased inside our school. Syempre, since it will be a new experience, pagkauwi ko pa lang nagpaalam na ko.. hindi ko matandaan kung pinayagan kaagad ako (e nung highschool ako hindi ako pinapayagan kasi) but yep, I joined. And then I had met the REAL actors of BYPC...
The Binan Youth Performance Council (YPC) is a non-stock cultural organization that persistently mounts celebrated productions of outstanding quality to bring the arts closer to the community. YPC has lived to its avowed mission of preserving the arts and cultural practices in Binan, and its neighboring towns through spearheading of worthwhile projects, such as art productions specifically in theatre, to propagate arts and cultural awareness in the community, by the youth.

It was a super fun experience!! It's very rare to meet an organization wherein you can really feel that you are part of the family.. and YPC welcomed me. <3
I got so attached to this family na sobrang tagal ko maka move on after ng play mismo.. I cried a river kasi wala pang chance noon na makasama ko sila ulit and never I had imagined that I would be an official member pala in the future.

I actually wanted to audition as a srcriptwriter ONLY pero turns out I also auditioned as an actor dahil bonggang pinilit nila ko.. well, I has no regrets 'till now.

I missed this production. Nagkataon na I had my Intro classes scheduled during rehearsals, e sobrang hindi aabutin at sobrang requirement ang intro class, kaya.. :(
I watched it, though. Until now, nakakanta ko pa rin yung ibang kanta..

Ang Kasaysayan ni Teodora Isang Ina
December - In line with the celebration of Teodora Alonso's (mother of Rizal) death centenary. And yehesssss, I am now part of this one! I played the role of Jose Rizal's older sister, Saturnina.
Nung nalaman ko na we will be doing this.. hindi na ko nagpaligoyligoy pa. 2 weeks rehearsals, 2 weeks na uwian. Hindi ko rin alam kung paano ko (namin) kinaya namin ang 7pm to 11pm rehearsals, gagawa ng assignments, gigising ng 3am for 7am class.. for 2 consecutive weeks, yup for the love of theatre and YPC, nakaya ko! Wuhooo
Sobrang kakaibang experience, tho takot pa rin ako kapag napapagalitan, pero iba na 'to e. <3333

Until today, when we are asked by Beej kung paano kami nabago ng teatro, hindi ko maisip yung sagot ko. Sure that I kind of become quite confident with things and with myself.. pero hindi yun yung sagot ko e. Hindi ko mahanap o hindi ko pa talaga alam?
Sobrang dami kong natututunan/natutunan, masayang experience at I am a very proud happy member. And because it's world theatre day today, this is me and my life with YPC, so far. Cheers!
